Martin Wörner’s winery is based in Rheinhessen and farms organically on sandstone soils.
Having previously worked with Tom Lubbe (of Matassa) and Steph and Eddie at Gut Oggau in Burgenland, 2017 was Marto Wines’ first vintage. Whole cluster fermentation and aging in large old wooden barrels.
Fully invested in natural processes, grapes are hand harvested and fermentations start with indigenous yeast and ambient ferments. No fining or filtration and no sulphur added.
